Ibn Mass'oud (may Allah be pleased with him) said that:
Allah has looked into the hearts of all humanity and
he chose Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him)
to be his final messenger,
then he checked the hearts of other people,
and he chose the prophet (peace and blessing be upon him) companions
to accompany him and to be his supporters;
so whatever the believers see as good, Allah see it as good;
and whatever the believers see as bad, Allah see it as bad
